Deputy Cook – Residential Home – Yardley – £10.64 per hour – full or part time (41.5 hours or 20.75 hours per week)
An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Cook to hit the ground running manage the catering operation within a residential care home, assisting the Head Cook with delegated duties.
You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the kitchen including in the absence of the Head Cook, health & hygiene, temperature checks, ordering stock and ensuring the kitchen complies with Environment Health. You will have experience in preparing nutritious meals using fresh ingredients to the residents on a daily basis to a very high standard as well as a strong understanding various dietary requirements you would expect from within a care home. Experience in IDSSI is desirable.
Working hours are 6.30am until 3pm/4pm over 5 days, 6.30am until 7pm is required should the Head Cook or Catering Assistant not on duty.
My client is looking for an experienced cook with previous supervisory experience within a care/residential home with relevant cooking experience.
