My client is a contract catering company looking for an experienced and motivated team to take on a role as the Head Cook at a residential home in Yardley.
The Head cook will be responsible for:
- Day to day supervision of the kitchen, including all food hygiene and health and safety checks.
- Preparing high quality, nutritious meals with fresh ingredients daily.
- Ordering stock for the kitchen ensuring the service runs smoothly.
The ideal Head Cook will:
- Be an experienced cook, preferably in a care/residential home environment.
- Have a strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens.
- Experience in IDSSI is desired.
The usual hours of work are 6:30am until 3 or 4pm, over 5/7 days, however 6:30am to 7pm will be required if the Deputy Cook or Catering Assistant is unavailable.
The role is subject to a DBS check and references.
